Accounting, Marketing, Economics, and Finance degree programs recognized
The University Assessment Committee (UAC) and the Office of Academic Assessment (OAA)
recognized our Accounting, Marketing, Economics, and Finance degree-program assessment accomplishments
during 2008-2009 with the
Seal of Assessment Achievement.
FCB Career Exploration Day 2009
The fourth annual FCB Career Exploration Day, held September 17, was a huge success for
students and employers. Forty-nine employers attended, twelve of whom were first time
attendees, looking to fill internship and full-time positions.

Meeting Warren Buffet - Third Invitation
Twenty-five FCB students traveled to Omaha, Nebraska on October 9, 2009 to attend a
question and answer session and to have lunch with Mr. Warren Buffett. Each year,
Mr. Buffett holds eight of these student sessions, with six schools, on average,
in attendance. This visit was the third for FCB.

Alumni & Faculty Hall of Fame 2009
Northern Arizona University-The W. A. Franke College of Business' 2009 Alumni & Faculty
Hall of Fame Ceremony, Homecoming Week, October 23, 2009. This year's inductees were
Dr. David Chase, Tom Smith, and Jim Upchurch. In order to continue the efforts begun
by the NAU Alumni Office during the Centennial Celebration (but since discontinued)
of recognizing the achievements of outstanding alumni, the FCB National Advisory Board
chose to establish a FCB Alumni Hall of Fame in 2003.

Homecoming Tailgate 2009
This year's Northern Arizona University - The W. A. Franke College of Business Homecoming
was on October 24, 2009. Serving the best food on the grounds, alumni, faculty and friends
gathered to enjoy the time before the game began. We value our connections to these folks
who are part of the NAU-FCB weave.

FCB In The News 2008-09
The College was fully reaccredited in the Fall of 2008 by the
national accrediting body, AACSB International - The Association
to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only institutions
meeting rigorous standards for student learning, faculty
qualifications, and research are accredited by the AACSB
and less than 5% of the world's business schools have achieved
this elite distinction.
