Associate Degree
Transfer Block
We accept a
maximum block transfer of 64 hours from your associate
degree program, and you then take the remaining 56 hours at
NAU to complete the 120 hours. (Please note that if you
complete all required core, specialization, and liberal
studies requirements in less than 56 hours, you may take the
remaining hours from any courses offered by NAU.)
To be admitted to this program,
you must have completed an approved A.A.S. degree from a
community college in Arizona. The approved A.A.S. degrees
that are accepted for admission into the B.A.S.-CT degree
program are the following:
You must have completed one of the specific
AAS's listed above to be eligible for the BAS in Computer
Technology.
We offer a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree
program to students who have completed an A.A.S. degree from
a community college in Arizona that has had their A.A.S.
degree approved as fulfilling the first two years of NAU’s
BAS in Computer Technology (see Associate Degree Transfer
Block above).
Our goal in offering the B.A.S. degree is
to provide you with a general knowledge of management,
organizational, and policy issues and to advance your
communication, computer, and quantitative skills. NAU’s
B.A.S. in Computer Technology is a good choice for you if:

opportunities to advance your career.
- You would like to earn
your bachelor's degree through a distance learning format
while continuing to work.
- You want to expand on
your knowledge of organizational, management, and
technology issues in the IT arena.
- You have an AAS from one
of the community colleges listed in the associated degree
transfer block above.
Program Entrance
Requirements
To be admitted to this program, you must have completed one of the approved
Arizona Community College A.A.S. degrees listed above. No other degrees will
be considered. To complete the B.A.S. degree, students must complete a total
of 120 hours (required for graduation), 64 of which transfer from the community
college, and at least 30 hours must be taken from NAU.

encouraged to consult with an advisor before beginning
coursework. Call (800) 426-8315 to get information on the
advisor nearest you. Work with your advisor to submit
applications, develop a program of study, register for
classes, and to learn about program details.
How Long Will It Take Me To
Complete This Program?
With an approved A.A.S. in Computer Technology, you can
complete this program in 3 years if you enroll in two
classes each semester (including summer school). However,
time varies with course availability and the number of
courses you choose to take each semester. Your advisor can
help you determine a timetable for your course of study.
