Administrative Guidelines
1. Each faculty member should submit one hard copy of your
paper to Ken Lorek for editorial review.
2. Each paper should contain a brief 200-word abstract that
provides an overview of the paper's findings. The abstract should
be on a separate sheet of paper which contains the title of the
paper as well as the abstract.
3. An editorial review will be conducted and, if necessary,
the author may be asked to consider revising the paper prior to
its inclusion in the FCB Working Paper Series. This review is
intended primarily as a feedback device to the author with the
purpose of enhancing the overall quality of the exposition. Thus,
the main purpose of the review process is to enhance the
readability and clarity of each paper in the Series.
4. Upon completion of (3), please submit one electronic hard
copy (via disk) to Theresa Stacy-Ryan, FCB Publications Specialist.
The paper will be assigned a numerical coding (i.e., NAU-FCB_WPS
No. 97-1, 97-2, etc.) and a distinctive FCB cover will be affixed
to it.
5. Five copies of each approved working paper will be provided
to each FCB author.
6. FCB working papers and abstracts will be listed on the FCB
Intellectual Activities web page. For web publication purposes,
the following information is requested for your cover page: (1)
title, authors, affiliations, (2) e-mail and regular-mail addresses
for at least one author if multiple authors are involved, (3) a
date of publication, and (4) any instructions from the author(s)
concerning copyright, authorization to cite or quote, etc.
7. The FCB Publications Specialist's Office will:
- Maintain an inventory of FCB Working Papers
- Disseminate information on the availability of and procedures to obtain copies of FCB Working Papers to the outside world
- Coordinate updating the listing of the FCB Working Papers on the Intellectual Activities web page
- Supervise the overall operation of the FCB Working Paper Series
