Lecturer Position in Accounting. Full-time, non tenure-track position at the lecturer level to begin August 2012. Position is a benefit eligible non-tenure track lecturer for the 2012-2013 academic year with the possibility of renewal depending on performance, program needs and availability of funding.

Job Description

Description:

  • Teach 12 credit hours of undergraduate accounting courses each semester.
  • Provide academic and career advisement to students
  • Participate in accounting area and college service activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (MBA, Master’s Degree or higher) from an AACSB accredited institution with a concentration in accounting.
  • Experience teaching accounting at the university level and/or 5 years professional accounting and training experience.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA or CIA (current licensure not required).
  • Ability to meet AACSB academic or professional qualification requirements (http://www.aacsb.edu/accreditation/papers/index.asp).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching;
  • Willingness and ability to teach undergraduate level accounting courses in multiple areas of accounting.
  • Experience or interest in working with culturally diverse students is expected.
  • Evidence or potential for excellence in working with multicultural constituencies.

  • Terminal degree (PhD in a relevant discipline or J.D.);
