Students Speak

BizBlock has had more of an impact on me than any of my other business classes at NAU. This is because the business plan project required me to use what I had learned in all of my previous classes. In addition, in classes I have taken after BizBlock, I always find myself wishing I could have used something I just learned in the business plan.
— Eric Runberg, BizBlock Fall ’02
Group – “WeHaulIt”

It was great to have the opportunity to directly apply class concepts to a real-world situation. I learned lessons about teamwork and group dynamics that will stick with me for years to come.
—Amanda Lasik, BizBlock Fall ’02
Group – “Altitude Electronics”

In BizBlock, I’m finding out that I didn’t know as much about business as I originally thought. However, it is giving me the opportunity to gain the knowledge that will head me in the right direction.
—Isaac Larsen, BizBlock Spring ’03
Group – “Lasting Memory”

BizBlock was one of the most valuable classes I have taken because it is the closest a college student can come to a real life business experience. The most important thing I learned was not how to work in a group, but how to make a group work!
—Georgia O´Keefe, BizBlock Fall ’02
Group – “Altitude Electronics”

BizBlock is the most ‘applicable’ course The W. A. Franke College of Business has to offer. I have used the coursework material in my businesses and in developing new business ideas.
—Timo Nelson, BizBlock Fall ’01
Group – “LiveTrack”

The professors’ knowledge, care, and motivation made my BizBlock experience wonderful and excited me about entering the business world.
—Betsy Loghry, BizBlock 1 Fall ’01
Group – “The Pit Barbeque”
