Overrides

Conditions for Override Requestes: Enrollment may be blocked due to holds, enrollment appointment, missing prerequisites or transcripts, full sections or campus restrictions.

• Holds – Various types of holds may prevent enrollment. If you have an advising hold you must meet with an advisor prior to enrollment. You advisor will remove the hold following your meeting. Academic Advisors are not able to remove other university holds. Please be sure all holds are resolved prior to your enrollment date.
• Enrollment Appointment - Each student is assigned an enrollment date and time. Your enrollment appointment will be listed on your LOUIE Student Center homepage under Enrollment Dates. You will not be able to enroll prior to your appointment date and time. Overrides cannot be approved prior to your enrollment appointment.
• Missing Prerequisites – If you completed an equivalent prerequisite course at another institution and it is not yet recorded in LOUIE, you will not be able to self-enroll. If you did not complete the course prerequisite you may not request an override.
• Full Sections – The FCB establishes and maintains enrollment caps and resources to ensure a quality educational experience for our students. Overrides into full sections will only be considered for students in their final semester prior to graduation or to maintain degree progression when no other options exist. Overrides into full sections are not granted for reasons of instructor preference or to accommodate work schedules. DO NOT submit an override request for a closed section when open sections exist.
• Online Business Courses – Flagstaff students may only enroll in online business courses during the summer sessions. Online business courses are restricted in fall and spring. Enrollment requests for online business courses during fall and spring will not be approved.
• Non-Business Courses – The FCB cannot enroll students in non-business courses. Contact the appropriate department to request enrollment information.

FCB instructors do not approve overrides. All override requests are processed via the online Override Request Form.
