Windows Vista SGD Hang Issue
Problems launching applications or logging into SGD.
I'm having problems logging into Sun Global Desktop (SGD), or when I am logged into SGD applications will not open, what should I do?
1. Open Internet Explorer, select Tools >
Internet Options
2. Select the Content tab and click the
Certificates button.
3. On the Certificates window, click the
“Intermediate Certification Authorities” tab and
scroll down until you see the expired Thawte
certificates (“Thawte Premium” and “Thawte Server”
both expired in 2004). Remove both of these
certificates by clicking each (they become
highlighted when clicked) and then clicking the
Remove button. When both certificates are removed,
click the Close button and re-open your web browser.
Windows Vista SGD Hang Issue
I am using Windows Vista and my
browser hangs at the SGD “Loading” screen. What
should I do?
1. Open IE and go to Tools-Internet Options.
2. On the Security tab, click Trusted Sites.
3. Un-check the “Enabled Protected Mode” option.
4. Click the Sites button and enter “https://midway.cba.nau.edu” and "https://marne.cba.nau.edu"
as shown below.
5. Click the Add button after entering each site so that both sites are listed under Websites as shown below:
6. Close and re-open IE, and then try launching SGD
again.
