Business and International Education at Northern Arizona University

The W. A. Franke College of Business at NAU is the recipient of a Department of Education grant designed to promote international business education and enhance export activity in rural Arizona.

The projects developed under this grant are designed to improve international business education and to enhance export operations by rural Arizona businesses. To accomplish this, we will develop programs that augment international skills in the business community and create awareness of the globalization of our economy.

As part of this program, we are establishing a FCB International Trade and Development Office in Yuma that will assist local and regional businesses and will work directly with organizations and agencies to build upon existing foundations designed to support, promote and enhance the level of exports from Yuma businesses. Seminars and workshops will be coordinated by the Yuma Trade and Development Office. At the same time, we will also work with business and individuals in other rural Arizona communities to offer specialized training and counseling for local businesses and entrepreneurs including Native American entrepreneurs interested in exporting to the global market.
