William Scott Coor

Scott Coor is a third-generation Arizonan who
grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Camelback High
School in 1972. Very involved with the Boy Scouts of
America for six years, Coor received the Eagle Scout
Award from Troop 343 when he was 16 years old.
Earning a degree in business
administration/marketing from Northern Arizona
University, Coor was a member of the Blue Key
National Honor Fraternity and served in leadership
positions as a member of Delta Sigma Pi business
fraternity. He also volunteered with the Flagstaff
Big Brother organization and mentored a fatherless
boy for two years while in college.
Following his 1976 graduation from NAU, Southwest
Forest Industries hired Coor as a corrugated
packaging trainee in the paper division. During his
nine-year career there, Coor developed new packaging
business and sales for the company’s facilities in
Los Angeles; El Paso and Lubbock, Texas; and
Glendale, Ariz.
Currently Coor is the vice president of sales and
marketing for Trendwood Inc., a company he and his
four partners started in 1985. Trendwood
manufactures solid wood youth bedroom furniture that
is sold throughout the United States and Canada.
During the past 22 years, Trendwood’s dedicated
300-plus employees have continued to grow the
business and build a respected reputation for
quality American-made furniture.
In the fall of 2006, Coor was recognized with the
Volunteer of the Year Award from Northern Arizona
University.
Coor has been married for the past 30 years to
Debbie Weber Coor, an NAU nursing graduate. They
have two grown children, Tiffany and Steve.
