CAIED formed the Arizona Indian Economic Development Forum comprised of economic development representatives from tribes, state government, and major, private sector corporations. Tribal members are invited to attend the forum to discuss specific economic development Issues. The forum is currently working with Moenkopi Developers Corporation, Cameron Chapter Vendors Committee, Sage Memorial Hospital, and Center for Native American Public Radio (CNAPR).
The Arizona Indian Economic Development Forum is a group of tribal officials, industry representatives and governmental leaders focusing on actualizing economic development for Indian tribes, nations, communities and their entities. Members of the group include representatives from The Navajo Nation, The Hopi Tribe, Gila River Indian Community, Yavapai Apache Tribe, JP MorganChase, Merrill Lynch, Snell & Wilmer, Jamieson & Gutierrez, Quarles & Brady, Walker & Armstrong, Kitchell Contractors, Marsh USA, APS, Northern Arizona University, Wells Fargo, Governor Napolitano’s office, Arizona Department of Commerce, Arizona Department of Housing, and the Native American Chamber of Commerce, to name a few. The group meets in Phoenix monthly to assist tribes, nations, or communities with specific development plans and provide implementation assistance.
