Best of NAU 2009 WinnersBest of NAU 2009 Winners

The NAU Lumberjack runs a "Best of NAU" survey each year and the results were published in a special edition on April 28. This edition of Best of NAU provides the results from student's opinions about the people, places, and things that make NAU and Flagstaff the best.

FCB made its mark in the following categories:

Best Dean or Director: FCB's Marc Chopin
"'While [he's] flattered to ...receive the award' and recognition from the students, Chopin finds it is the direct 'effort of the staff...in the college that is a benefit to the students and they deserve the recognition, too.'"

2nd Best Dean or Director: Eric Yordy, FCB associate dean

2nd Best Professor: Bill Archer, FCB lecturer

This uniquely Flagstaff event encourages people to get out of their cars for a week and get to work using non carbon producing means. There were lots of great happenings each day associated with the event: free give aways, raffles, free breakfasts, bike parade, and camaraderie - truly an event that backs up FCB's sustainability pledge.
