The sun is coming up a few minutes later as we approach the fall semester. This summer seems to have passed more quickly than most. While a few summer projects remain, we enjoy having the campus filled with students once again. Students returned to campus August 24, and NAU is expecting a record freshmen class.

When our faculty returned to campus August 17, we welcomed two new professors. Tim Clark joined the faculty as an assistant professor of management, while Tom Downen is an assistant professor of accounting. Clark comes to NAU from George Washington University and Downen hails from Texas Tech University.

Every year our faculty, students, and friends find new ways for the FCB to stand out from the crowd, from student academic competitions to faculty research and teaching awards. It is always fun to celebrate their achievements. We hope you will join us in doing so. Please mark your calendar with our fall events.
