Northern Arizona University’s Accelerated MBA Program is offered in two accelerated, full-time formats: 10-months for students with an undergraduate business degree and 18-months for students with a non-business degree. The Accelerated MBA Program is designed for individuals who want to broaden and deepen their knowledge of business and management skills and still allow them to expedite their entry into the job market. It is also attractive to individuals who wish to incur less debt and to minimize their time away from the workforce.
Our intensive program includes integrated classes that are taught in a lockstep, cohort approach with the average faculty to student ratio kept low to ensure a student-focused delivery. The program puts a heavy emphasis on teamwork, communication skills, and the building of a collaborative learning environment.
NAU’s MBA Program offers an opportunity for a small group of outstanding, highly-motivated students to be engaged in an interactive, cross-discipline based learning environment that will prepare them for productive careers in a variety of organizations, from start-ups to global businesses.
Successful managers need to master a range of techniques and tools to meet the challenges they face within their organizations. To meet this need, our program delivers the curriculum as an integrated whole by combining different academic disciplines (marketing, management, accounting, finance), rather than as separate, discipline-based pieces. A different way of thinking is required when the students approach business problems on a cross-functional and integrated basis and this approach mirrors the challenges they will encounter in their future careers.
Our primary concern is your success in the classroom and in your subsequent career. That is why we limit the size of each entering class to assure a low student-faculty ratio. This insures a high level of interaction, teamwork and collaborative learning. MBA students have plenty of opportunities to interact one-on-one with the faculty both inside and outside of the classroom. Our job shadowing, company visits, networking events and internship programs enable students to build their professional networks and make smart career choices.
To be successful in any organization, a manager must be a good communicator. Our philosophy is that no matter how good you are at communicating your ideas when you enter the program, we can work with you to make you even better. Your written work will be evaluated by dedicated professionals on both your mastery of the subject and your ability to express your thoughts clearly and concisely. In most classes you will be required to deliver oral presentations on which you will receive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Princeton Review's Entrepreneur magazine recognized the FCB MBA in 2010 in its annual student ranking of MBA programs.
NAU is listed among 15 business schools receiving the highest evaluations from students for their career preparations in marketing.
