2005-2006 CBA Bilby
Researcher of the Year
due to his outstanding intellectual contributions over the preceding
academic year.
William C. Schwartz, Jr.,
assistant professor of accounting at the University of Arizona,
presented a paper titled "How Does the Market Value Accrual and Cash
Flow Surprises?" on November 17 in the ongoing
CBA Bilby Speaker Series.

Mary Bowers was selected as an Honorary Member of the Golden Key International Honour Society
at the NAU Chapter.
The selection was based on her commitment to higher education and her
outstanding job in her capacity as senior lecturer at the CBA. November
19, 2006 Bowers served as the keynote speaker at the Golden Key
Induction Ceremony.

had their manuscript accepted for publication in the
Journal of Information
Systems: "Signal
Words and Signal Icons in Application Control and Information Technology
Exception Messages – Hazard Matching and Habituation Effects."
Larry Mohrweis had an article published in the Journal of Accounting
Education (Volume 24, Issue 4) titled "Recruiting Top Students: A Letter Writing
Approach."
