Hello from The W. A. Franke College of Business! The original version of my column talked about all the wonderful things you will read inside; the faculty, staff, and student accomplishments. Then on May 15, 2007 the College of Business changed. And we couldn’t wait until this issue to tell you. You should have recently received an announcement of the $25,000,000 investment in the now named W. A. Franke College of Business (FCB).
This generous investment will change the course of business education at Northern Arizona University. This investment in excellence will support students, faculty, and programs in the college, with student support focused on historically underrepresented groups. We will enhance oral and written communication skills, ethics education, and student experiences outside the classroom. We will also have funding to attract and retain the best faculty so that our undergraduate students will continue to learn from educators at the top of their game. This contribution also guarantees that the technology our students learn with is always state-of-the-art.
Come visit us at our new web address, www.franke.nau.edu to learn more about the investment, Bill Franke, and the tremendous opportunity this will provide our students for years to come.
It will be transformational.
