Faculty Accolades

Faculty Awards

David Albritton

David Albritton, assistant professor of management – Teacher of the Year Award.

"I am very proud of this award," says Albritton, "especially since I take the teaching part of my job very seriously. In my Ph.D. program, the focus was entirely on research. It became clear that I would have to step up and improve my teaching skills to be successful at NAU.

We have great teachers in the FCB. I have been mentored by the best, including Joe Anderson, Jon Ozmun, Mary Bowers, and Susan Williams. I am also motivated to be a good teacher because I enjoy our students and want their learning experiences to be as positive as possible. "

T.S. Amer T.S. Amer, professor of accounting – Thomas Arndt Faculty Award, a three year award recognizing the research, teaching, service, and leadership efforts of an outstanding FCB faculty member and providing a financial incentive for further research.

Faculty Retirees

Al LorentsAl Lorents, professor of CIS. Our students and the university community have benefited tremendously from the extraordinary contributions Al made throughout his distinguished career of 37 years at FCB. His leadership of the CIS area for many years has allowed that area to be known nationally for the quality of their graduates. The FCB will not be the same without him.

Jon OzmunJon Ozmun, professor of management. Jon has been a faculty member, administrator, and leader in the FCB for 34 years. His willingness to be a leader, whether in case research, administration, extra work with students, or as a sounding board to many deans has been unparalleled here. We mark the retirement of one of the great leaders on our campus and a faculty member whose commitment to the student experience will be very difficult to replace.
