CBA Building, October 2006

Fall has arrived and with it all of the excitement of beginning a new school year. The college has completely settled into our new building and the results are obvious. Our enrollment, as well as total university enrollment, is up substantially. The CBA increased over 3% in majors and 8% in students served. The place is bustling with activity; it is hard for the coffee shop to keep up!

In October, 41 students and 2 faculty members spent a day at Berkshire Hathaway and four hours with Warren Buffett. They are still walking 12 inches off the floor. They came back and reported to our National Advisory Board and I was so proud of them. The students didn’t talk to the board about the great investment advice they received; instead they discussed what they learned about life. You can read more about their experience on this page.

We hosted our first annual Career Exploration Day. The goal we set was 20 firms talking to students, and we had more than 50! It was crowded, but great and just one more step we are taking to increase the reputation of the CBA.

Make sure you come see us soon. Remember that you are always a member of our family.

Take Care.
